The final exam was held simultaneously for all foundation students on the 14th of December 2016, and students were given 2 hours to complete the paper. The first half of the paper consisted of the reading section, while the second half of the paper was the writing section.

Having just completing my IGCSE English earlier in June 2016, this English paper is relatively easy. The reading section felt way easier than IGCSE English, and the requirements for the writing section were lower. However it was not exactly just smooth sailing for me. I actually got stuck on one of the questions and did not fully grasp the instructions given. The essay we had to write was completely different from what I am used to, being a more mature report styled essay instead of a typical creative essay. The lack of freedom in writing actually got me frustrated at times.
