ASSIGNMENT 2 - Fabric Abstract Artwork
This is a group project and we were assigned a fashion designer and had to create two A2 artwork, one geometrical, one organic, based on their design principles. Our fashion designer was Manish Arora, who is an Indian fashion designer famous for his colourful psychedelic fashion style.
We started by researching about our designer, and doing some artwork which we thought suited him
This is the first project which we had to do research on an established designer and extract information based on his design. Working with fabric was also a challenge because we had to be careful of the workmanship, and we also had to lightly burn the edge of the cloth to prevent the fibres from fibre.

For our artwork, we focused on weaving and embroidery, which were techniques he used. Our design concept was based on a peacock feather. On the day of presentation we had to present to a guest panel of University of Malaya students.
I have to admit that I was not really motivated during the duration of this project, therefore my contributions to my team was not what I feel that I should've been capable of. However the lessons learned from this project was very useful for my future projects.
