Embracing the theme of user and context, Studio II invokes the exploration of relationships between the user and natural environments, exploring designs which plays with the composition of form and space

Project 1 : RESIDENCE RABBITS  Diagrammatic Abstraction

Precedent study of residential homes, dwellings by famous architects, represented by models and diagrams.

Residence Rabbits by Boonlert Hemvijitraphan, A private home for a landscape architect and his family situated in Bangkok, Thailand. Known for his clean lines and prosaic forms, 8 abstract diagrams and models were formulated to further our understanding of Residence Rabbits, inspired by a life sized terrarium.

SITE VISIT : KEK LOK TONG  IPOH, perak

Embarking on a trip to Ipoh, with the intention of conducting a site inventory and analysis of the zen gardens of Kek Lok Tong. Enclosed by cliffs, lush with vegetation and shimmering pools of water, the zen gardens is the perfect weekend retreat for those seeking to escape from the hectic city life.

Project 2 : UNITY of NATURE . PEOPLE  PICNIC PAVILION

Uniting people, harmony with nature, the open air bamboo pavilion welcomes all into its warm embraces.

Seamless integration with surrounding trees and bamboo grove follows the concept of unity and harmony, through the visually permeable bamboo facade. The user explores the multi leveled spaces, responding to the climate and views of Kek Lok Tong.

Project 3 : SOLITARY REFLECTION weekend lodging

Embrace isolation, disconnect from the world and reflect through meditation. A weekend lodging for individuals to escape from reality.

A retreat for individuals seeking an escape from reality, of the stress and noise of the world, and retreat from society. Nested among the trees and stream, the lodging remain isolated from human activity, enclosed by the imposing cliff. Embracing the cliff,  stunning views of the Kek Lok Tong zen gardens and unique rock formations of the cliff are promoted.
